BLOID-O-RAMA AND PAINT SPATTERS - MY "RUIN YOUR DECOR" SOLO SHOW SLATED FOR LATE SEPTEMBER
Okay, for all of those who've been asking why no further mention of my first solo show ever, not to worry; I'm not gonna weasel out of it this time. I do however need to insure that when it does happen that's it's suitably ludicrous. So, at this point with it so busy on a daily basis here at ThirdStone, I'm still not going to announce the exact date but it's looking like late September will be it for sure (probably, maybe kinda sorta or not). So just stay tuned for now....

CALENDAR ALERT: "OUTSIDERS OUTSIDE" SHOW IN HARBERT LABOR DAY WEEKEND
Once again, it's that time. Our pals Judith and Johanna at Judith Racht Gallery in Harbert are hosting the 14th annual "Outsiders Outside" show this Labor Day weekend. The Preview Party ($40/person includes dinner by Cafe Gulistan) is Friday August 29 6-9 pm, Then, the show continues all day both Saturday and Sunday (8/30-31) from 10-5 (all times Michigan) and admission is only 10 bucks! GREAT CERAMICS KILN AND KILN VENT FOR SALE

I want to sell my Duncan ceramic kiln and an Orton kiln vent with stand. I have always used it inside. The electric kiln is model DK 820-1 with inside measuring 17 1/2" wide and 20" deep. I have the manual and all the furniture. Duncan was bought out by Paragon. Paragon sells all the parts for Duncan if ever needed. This kiln model sells on e-bay for $650.00. and the vent for $389.00. I would be happy to get only $350.00 and would include the molds and all the glazes I have. The kiln fires from cone 6 to 10. BIG ESTATE AND "YOU-NAME-THE-PRICE" BARN-CLEARING SALE COMING this friday and saturday!
Okay, we're finally gettin' around to it. It's the very last "clear out the barn" sale in order to wrap up our friend Tracy Collins-Bower's estate for her son Tyrel. It'll be in the gigantic quonset on their farm just outside Fennville AT 2366 63RD ST - 9 TIL 4 PM BOTH DAYS. Concurrently with that, I'll be holding a total-clearance of all the ThirdStone antique and funkjunk archives to make staging space for our new ThirdStone travelling shows that will begin this Fall. So, this time it really does all have to go and everything will be priced accordingly. In fact, the majority of the huge barn's contents will be items where YOU set the price! Yup; a kinda fun and exciting concept methinks.Every unpriced item you see, YOU get to tell US the price.. cool, huh? 9AM til 4 PM, Friday and Saturday, THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!

Meditation Workshop - SATYA YOGA CENTER HOSTS TIBETAN BUDDHIST SCHOLAR THIS SUNDAY, AUG 24 – 6PM
Hartmut Sagolla, Program Co-director at Ann Arbor's Jewel Heart Tibetan Buddhist Center (www.jewelheart.org) will lead a meditation on "The Four Immeasurables", followed by a talk on "The Path of Wisdom and Compassion" at Satya Yoga Center in Saugatuck. The event is Sunday, August 24 from 6-8 p.m. There is no set fee, but monetary donations are appreciated.

Sagolla has been a student of Jewel Heart founder Gehlek Rimpoche since 1984. After living in a Dharma center in Australia with Geshe Tubten Loden he moved to Ann Arbor in 2002 to work with Rimpoche as Program Co-Director of Jewel Heart, organizing and teaching classes, courses and workshops, guiding meditation retreats and transcribing and editing Gelek Rimpoche's teachings. Based in Ann Arbor, Jewel Heart is a spiritual, cultural, and humanitarian organization that translates the ancient wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism into contemporary life.
