moving sale extended due to weather-last weekend!

THIRDSTONE NEWS AND NOTES:

the latest....Here's all the latest news from ThirdStone-Land in Funnville; Largely a "Re-Run" of the last regarding the moving sale-o-rama. Our "lovely" weather the past couple weekends has convinced me to extend it one more week.

So, after this Sunday, the retail gallery in downtown Fennville wil be officially closed. However, my home, studios, office and framing business will remain right where they've been, i.e. right upstairs from the gallery at 120 East Main Street. You can still reach me at 269-561-8149 or by email at "brucemonster@gmail.com".

I'm finally wrapping up the moving sale this weekend and am also in the middle of getting our new websites ready for launch in February and, prepping our next "online" show. Along with all of that, ThirdStone's next show will happen somewhere hereabouts, sometime in late February. Details to be announced in this newsletter soon.

And as for that moving sale.... it's pretty simple. LAST CHANCE IS THIS WEEKEND - EVERYTHING IN THE SHOP IS FOR SALE; displays, shelving, fixtures, Lots of cool furniture, lamps, tables, vintage, fifties stuff, various tools, supplies etc.

ALL FURNISHINGS, FIXTURES, DISPLAYS AND OTHER STUFF'S FOR SALE... see pictures of it all (well, okay...some of it anyway...):

WATER STREET GLASSWORKS PRESENTS- ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO STUDENTS GLASS ART EXHIBIT
Seven students from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago are showing their glass art at Water Street Glassworks, Saturday, January 17 from 8:00 – 10:00pm. The event is open to the public and includes a glassblowing demonstration performance and refreshments. Water Street Glassworks is located in Benton Harbor's Arts District.

Chris Grieshaber, Nikki Kajmowicz, Michael Kaysen, Joe Kleemann, Melissa McChristian, Katie Preston and Derek Russell are studying at the Glassworks with master glassblower Jerry Catania in a winter interim off-campus study program. They are undergraduate students in various majors such as Painting, Art Education, Interior Architecture, Fiber, Photography and Ceramics.

Catania says, "We are always happy to meet the Art Institute students each January; they bring their own special artistic perspective to studying glass. This unique interpretation is not only evident in their personal work, but is reflected in the popular glass 'performance' that has become a mainstay of their exhibition evening."

"We're glad, and feel privileged, to have the Art Institute students come to The Arts District for their off-campus study. We're eager to have the public see what their explorations have produced. There are always surprises in their work and in their demonstrations," says Executive Director Dorris Akers. "This is a free, fun family activity open to all," she stated.
